UrbanShift is a brand that is dedicated to transforming cities for the benefit of people and the planet. Funded by the Global Environment Facility and led by the UN Environment Programme, UrbanShift focuses on sustainable, integrated, and zero-carbon urban development. With a mission rooted in equity and integration, UrbanShift works with over 23 cities in Asia, Africa, and Latin America to address multiple urban challenges, including coastal management, low-emission zones, and upgraded informal settlements.

UrbanShift believes in local action combined with a global capacity-building approach to achieve transformative urban development. They offer a range of activities to strengthen cities' integrated planning skills, such as workshops, national dialogues, geospatial analyses, and climate action support. By connecting cities worldwide with tools, training, and advocacy, UrbanShift aims to reduce carbon emissions, conserve biodiversity, and foster sustainable and equitable growth.
