Shift Wellness Institute

Shift Wellness Institute (SWI) is a wellness organization focused on making wellbeing accessible and sustainable across schools, workplaces, and communities. Guided by the belief that wellness is a shared responsibility, SWI connects science with community needs and helps people turn evidence into practical, lasting change. Its work is organized around education, consultancy, and research.

Education services include interactive workshops, training, and tailored curricula that build knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to support healthy habits. Consultancy helps schools, businesses, and community partners plan, implement, and evaluate wellness initiatives suited to their culture and capacity. Through public health research on physical activity, workplace wellbeing, and community health, the institute aims to ground programs in data and assess real-world outcomes.

Its featured programs include Ready, Set, Well!, designed to support healthier, more engaged and resilient school communities; Thrive@Work, which promotes wellbeing and performance in workplace teams; and the Community Shift Partnership, which supports inclusive, active, and sustainable communities. Based in Vancouver, Washington, SWI also shares health-related articles and resources to encourage healthier practices
