Great Fishing in Lake Shikaribetsu is a fishing program based at Lake Shikaribetsu in Hokkaido’s Daisetsuzan National Park. The lake is a natural habitat for distinctive wildlife, including the native Miyabe char, and the program offers limited seasonal access to help visitors enjoy its fishing grounds. The special fishing season runs for a total of up to 50 days a year, with a daily limit of 50 anglers and designated fishing hours.

Visitors can book fishing permits and rental boats, with life jackets also available. The program provides information on regulations, access, reservations and local facilities, as well as beginner support and fishing experiences for newcomers. Its services include guided lake fishing by motorboat or rowboat, fly-fishing tours, and private lessons in fly, lure and cicada-lure fishing.
