Shikitei

Tachibana Shikitei is a traditional ryokan in Yamashiro Onsen, Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture, welcoming guests since 1868. Located in the historic hot-spring district, the inn combines a long heritage of hospitality with a calm, refined atmosphere. Its guiding idea, “hiragana hospitality,” reflects the warmth and gentleness of its welcome, complemented by natural materials and carefully arranged interiors.

Guests can enjoy Yamashiro’s naturally flowing hot-spring water, including an outdoor garden bath where they can soak beneath the moon or stars. Accommodation includes spacious, elegantly appointed rooms, with some featuring private open-air baths. On arrival, guests are welcomed with matcha and local sweets.

The inn’s seasonal kaiseki cuisine showcases ingredients from the Hokuriku region, including local seafood, organic vegetables, and other Kaga specialties. Selected meal plans feature dishes such as Noto beef sushi, seasonal fish, nodoguro, and matsutake mushrooms. Tachibana Shikitei also offers esthetic services and provides information about nearby attractions, travel access, and accommodation reservations.
