The Council for Conservation of Heritage Sites and Settlements, founded in 1984, aims to protect historical structures and sites in Israel. Initially established by the Society for Nature Conservation based on a Knesset Education Committee decision, the Council's creation was driven by the destruction of pre-1700 buildings and historical sites. Offering a wide range of services, the Council actively preserves and educates about Israel's heritage through guided tours, volunteer opportunities, and educational projects.

Their National Service at heritage sites engages volunteers nationwide in cultural preservation activities. With eight regional educational centers nationwide, from Galilee to Jerusalem, the Council invites history enthusiasts, educators, and volunteers to explore and contribute to preserving Israel's rich heritage.
