About shinagawa-culture.or.jp
The Shinagawa Culture Foundation is a public interest organization established in February 1986 to promote culture, the arts, and lifelong learning in Shinagawa, Tokyo, and contribute to a vibrant, appealing community. It supports local artists and cultural groups through arts festivals, exhibitions, regional partnerships, sponsored events, publicity, and assistance for grant-supported organizations. The foundation also creates opportunities for residents to experience and take part in cultural activities, including concerts, events, art exhibitions, and classes.
It manages five facilities: Curian, a community hall with performance and event spaces, meeting rooms, and specialist rooms; Square Ebara, offering a hall, arena, studios, exhibition spaces, and meeting rooms; Maple Center, which provides around 150 ongoing courses as well as new and short-term classes; O Art Museum, a contemporary venue for viewing and presenting artworks; and the Shinagawa Residents’ Gallery, a convenient space for local exhibitions and art appreciation. The foundation also shares information about artists connected to Shinagawa, regional events, performances, tickets, and facility services.
