Shine Tribe is a support service in North Canterbury for creative individuals who have an intellectual disability. Founded and facilitated by Tash Beckingsale, the organisation aims to provide a holistic approach that helps people feel supported and experience a sense of belonging. Its work is shaped by Tash’s hands-on experience in the disability support industry and her commitment to supporting people through a range of therapies and activities.
Shine Tribe offers a group day programme for participants to connect and take part in a supportive community setting. It also provides one-to-one Kaiawhina support and mentoring, with opportunities to work directly with Tash. These services are intended to support people individually and collectively, recognising each person’s potential to shine when they are in an environment that works for them.
The organisation invites people to explore its programmes, learn more about the support available, and register their interest. Shine Tribe also shares updates about programmes, events and opportunities through its newsletter and social media channels.
