Shinshukan no Amazonas

Amazonas Shinshukan is a Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do organization based in Manaus, Brazil, connected to the Shinshukan school and its international federation. Its practice follows the Shorin-Ryu tradition passed down by Choshin Chibana, who learned from Shuri-Te leader Itosu Yasutsune. In Brazil, the tradition was developed and expanded by Grand Master Yoshihide Shinzato, whose dedication to Shorin-Ryu over five decades established the Shinshukan school. Leadership later passed to Hanshi Masahiro Shinzato, and, following his death in 2024, to his brother Mitsuhide Shinzato.
