About Shirowhat
Shirowhat is a proudly Ethiopian owned brand passionate about sharing the rich and vibrant flavors of authentic Ethiopian cuisine with everyone. We understand that preparing traditional Ethiopian food can be time-consuming or require a visit to Ethiopia or a restaurant. That's why we created Shirowhat, an Ethiopian chickpea stew seasoned with our secret blend of berbere spices.
This fiery and magically delicious spice blend transforms Shirowhat into Shirowow! Our founder and Chief Shiro Officer, Miriam Anulo, is an ICU Nurse in San Francisco who immigrated from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. She missed the food from her home country and wanted to spread the Ethiopian spirit of generosity. In Ethiopia, food is always shared, regardless of resources.
With Shirowhat, Miriam aims to bring people together and promote the importance of a happy face. Berbere is our secret ingredient, carefully crafted and passed down through generations. This fiery hot spice blend adds a burst of flavor to Shirowhat, turning simple chickpeas into an incredible culinary experience.
