About Healing Invisible Wounds
Scouts Healing Invisible Wounds (SHIW) is a mental health initiative founded by young individuals with backgrounds in Counseling Psychology and Mental Health Advocacy. Established in November 2020, SHIW aims to address mental health challenges exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. With a mission to empower young people, SHIW offers resources to enhance their understanding of mental health, inspire them to create safe spaces, and build resilience within themselves and their communities.
The organization's vision is to normalize conversations around mental health and ensure individuals with psychosocial disabilities are treated with dignity. SHIW hosts Psychosocial Camps and events like the Psychological First Aid (PFA) Camp to equip young people with the skills to support those in distress. Join SHIW in making mental health a global priority and take a step towards prioritizing your well-being
