Shobu Aikido of Cape Cod is an aikido dojo based in Barnstable, Massachusetts, serving students on Cape Cod. Led by dojo-cho Larry Murray, the school offers training focused on developing mind-body control and calmness through the practice of aikido. Its instruction includes weapons work with the bokken and jo, alongside the discipline’s broader physical and mental foundations.
The dojo is affiliated with the Aikido Schools of Ueshiba and Shobu Aikido, the organization associated with William Gleason Sensei, a seventh-dan instructor and founder of Shobu Aikido Boston. This connection is reflected in seminars and gatherings hosted by the Cape Cod school, including events featuring Gleason Sensei and black belt training.
The school also shares information about aikido basics, links, photographs, and video clips, offering visitors a look at its community and activities. For information about Shobu Aikido of Cape Cod, prospective students and other interested visitors can contact Larry Murray by email or phone.
