Shoco Ranch

Shoco Ranch is a private hunting and fishing preserve in Augusta, Montana, along the Rocky Mountain Front. It offers exclusive, one-party-at-a-time upland bird hunts from September through March, with pheasants and opportunities to hunt chukars, partridge, and quail. The preserve’s varied cover includes native grassland, wooded creek areas, and meadows, providing a natural setting for hunting with guests’ own dogs. Healthy, hard-flying birds are included in hunting packages.

For anglers, the South Fork Creek and Sun River offer light-rod, dry-fly fishing for rainbow and wild brown trout. Combined “Cast and Blast” packages pair fishing with upland bird hunting and lodging. The “Bucks and Birds” package combines early-morning whitetail deer hunting with afternoon pheasant hunting.

Accommodations include ranch cabins and a lodge in Augusta, with the lodge sleeping up to 10 guests. Together, the cabins and lodge can accommodate more than 20 people, making the ranch suitable for corporate groups and other parties seeking hunting, fishing, and lodging in one destination.
