SHOE is an international, lesbian-focused social networking community created by and for lesbians. It brings together members seeking friendship, conversation, dating, and the chance to meet someone special, whether locally or around the world. Users can create profiles, share photos and videos, build playlists, write blogs, and join discussions in forums and chat rooms. The site also offers free personal ads and classified listings, along with tools for messaging, browsing member profiles, and connecting with people by location.

Beyond social networking, SHOE features community activities and resources, including gatherings, adventure days, a party guide, news, and discussion topics such as coming out, relationships, sexuality, and travel. Members can explore photo galleries, videos, love stories, greeting cards, and community blogs. Classified categories include housing, jobs, and a marketplace, while the SHOE shop promotes lesbian pride apparel. With its broad range of social, informational, and community features, SHOE aims to provide an inclusive online space for lesbians across countries, ages, races, and cultures.
