Founded by Abram Waserstein, who fled Cuba's dictator, Fidel Castro, and left behind his shoe business to start a new life in Miami. In 1979, leveraging his knowledge of customer preferences and his buying skills, Abram established ShoeGallery in Downtown Miami.

The brand flourished under his guidance. In 1985, Abram's son, Jaime Waserstein, joined the business and enhanced the brand's assortment by catering to the thriving Caribbean consumer base flocking to Miami for renowned brands like Clark's, Kangol, Travel Fox, and Bally. Taking the legacy forward, in 2000, Jaime's son, Danny Waserstein, entered the family business and launched ShoeGallery to new heights.

The brand evolved into a one-stop-shop powerhouse, offering a curated selection of top lifestyle footwear, apparel, and accessories labels.
