ShogunAI is a private, local-first AI memory assistant for Mac, designed to help knowledge workers spend less time reconstructing decisions and moving information between tools. It builds a searchable memory of work across connected email, meetings, documents, calendars, chat, and other apps, with answers linked to their sources and timestamps. Users can ask questions in plain language, get a daily brief, create inline drafts, capture meeting minutes and commitments, and translate conversations.

ShogunAI can also prepare or carry out routine work within existing tools, such as drafting replies, updating information, and filing follow-ups. Its execution rules distinguish reversible actions from drafts and actions that reach another person; consequential steps wait for user approval. Memory and text search are stored locally by default, visual screen memory is off unless enabled, and users control what is captured and can revoke tool connections.
