Shogun Martial Arts Centre

Shogun Martial Arts Centre is a training school in Moonee Ponds, Victoria, where traditional martial arts meet modern coaching and physical conditioning. It welcomes children, teens, and adults at all experience levels, from beginners to competitors and dedicated practitioners. Its programs aim to develop technical skill alongside confidence, fitness, focus, resilience, discipline, and respect in a supportive, values-driven community.

Classes include Kids Karate, Karate, Okinawan Kobudo, and Samurai swordsmanship. Children’s classes are designed to be engaging and age-appropriate, combining martial arts instruction with personal development and practical life skills. Karate training supports progression in technique and self-discipline, while Kobudo introduces traditional Okinawan weapons practice. Samurai sword classes cover Japanese swordsmanship, including drawing, cutting, and defensive techniques.

The centre’s programs are led by founder Sensei Kong Wing Loh, an 8th Dan Black Belt in Shito-Ryu Karate and 6th Dan Black Belt in Okinawan Kobudo. Shogun offers timetabled classes, information on fees and frequently asked questions, and free trial classes for prospective students.
