Shom is a French public organization focused on hydrography and marine information, supporting knowledge and safe use of the maritime environment. Its work spans the acquisition, processing, production and distribution of data, alongside training, research and innovation. The organization’s areas of expertise include bathymetry, oceanography, coastal altimetry, sea level, marine geophysics and sedimentology, underwater acoustics, and measurement and observation techniques.
