It supports disciplines including IPSC, USPSA, IDPA, PPC, 3-Gun, Steel Challenge, ICORE, CAS, and others. Shooters can register for matches, choose squads, check scores, and review results and statistics. SSI also provides activity and shooting logbooks, competition tracking, progress ratings, and rankings that let users compare performance with friends, clubs, or competitors worldwide.

For shooters, SSI offers tools to manage firearms, sights, ammunition, and handload recipes, record training and maintenance, and share selected information with friends. Event alerts can notify users when relevant competitions are created or updated. Match participation and core competition services are free; Premium Shooter subscriptions unlock additional features, including armoury tools, sharing, and alerts.

Clubs and organizers can create matches, cups, series, and tournaments, manage online registration and squads, enter scores, and publish results. Additional options include payment processing, refunds, match shops, sponsor branding, scoresheets, and downloadable reports.
