About ShopHowYouVote
ShopHowYouVote. com is a search directory designed to help shoppers learn about the political leanings of major brands and companies. Its central idea is that people can align their spending with the values they support at the polls.
Visitors can search for a company by name, initial, keyword, or category, and use filters to find businesses described as leaning left or right, or as made in the USA. The directory spans a wide range of sectors, including food, restaurants, finance, healthcare, clothing, retail, travel, entertainment, media, and online services. The site says its assessments are based on company political donations and other factors, offering a quick reference rather than simply asking users to rely on assumptions.
ShopHowYouVote. com also provides a free mobile app, allowing users to look up brands and stores while on the go. Additional site features include an about section, a blog, merchandise, and contact information.
Overall, the service aims to help consumers make more informed purchasing choices in line with their personal convictions
