Shoreline Helicopters

Shoreline Helicopters Ltd is a helicopter flight training school based in Napier, Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. Established in 1988, the company aims to develop capable private and commercial pilots through personalised, one-on-one instruction. It is a Civil Aviation Authority-certified Part 141 training organisation and operates under a Safety Management System. Chief flying instructor Rick Graham brings more than 20,000 hours of flight experience and extensive expertise in aviation operations, instruction and safety.

Training is primarily conducted in a Hughes 300C helicopter, with access to additional aircraft for type ratings. Shoreline offers private and commercial pilot training, advanced and night flying instruction, mountain flying, sling-load and long-line training, instructor development, and agricultural ratings. Agricultural courses cover activities including spraying, topdressing, seeding, mustering and GPS-guided application. Training takes place in Hawke’s Bay, including mountain and rural environments, and can be arranged at the school’s base or, for agricultural ratings, at a student’s own operating base.
