About Shorty's BBQ
Shorty's BarBQ has been proudly serving the people of South Florida for over 65 years. This iconic restaurant is a nostalgic and delicious landmark in the area, located just a block from Dadeland shopping center and surrounded by the impressive Datran Center Skyscrapers. With four other locations throughout South Florida, Shorty's is dedicated to providing their famous ribs, chicken, homemade sauce, creamy cole slaw, and mouthwatering corn on the cob.
Established in 1951 by Mr. E. L.
Shorty Allen, the original log cabin style restaurant was rebuilt after a fire in 1972 and survived the destructive Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Today, Shorty's maintains its nostalgic charm and authentic flavors, offering the same delightful dining experience that has delighted patrons for generations. Whether you're a loyal customer or a first-time visitor, Shorty's BarBQ is the place to go for a taste of South Florida's glorious history
