Shotokan

SK Shotokan Neratovice is a Czech karate club teaching traditional Shotokan karate under the Japan Karate Association (JKA). With 35 years of activity in Neratovice, the club also runs training groups in Líbeznice and Prague’s Hloubětín, welcoming children and adults throughout the year. Its instruction ranges from playful foundations for young beginners to technically focused practice, adult training, and individual coaching for competitive athletes.

Children develop coordination, discipline, and confidence, while adult classes offer fitness, karate skills, and self-defence training at a suitable pace. Talented students can progress to national and international competition, with the club contributing toward competition fees and travel. Members also meet at training camps and events for participants and their families, reflecting the club’s close-knit community.

SK Shotokan Neratovice is a member of the Czech JKA Karate Association. Its athletes have earned more than 450 Czech championship titles and 45 European championship titles over the club’s history, and competitors have also represented the club at world championships. Prospective members can observe a training session before joining.
