About Shoulder to Shoulder
Shoulder to Shoulder is a private, non-profit, non-governmental organization that has been providing essential healthcare services in rural Intibucá, Honduras since 1990. Founded by Dr. Jeff Heck in collaboration with the people of Santa Lucia, Shoulder to Shoulder works in partnership with local community leaders and grassroots organizations to empower and improve the lives of those living in poverty.
Their comprehensive services include health, dentistry, nutrition, clean water, and education programs. Through their Good Shepherd Bilingual School, they provide quality education, while their HaH Clinics offer basic healthcare services to thousands of people in the region. Shoulder to Shoulder is dedicated to working shoulder to shoulder with the Honduran Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education, municipal governments, and local organizations to create sustainable and equitable solutions.
