Showacan is a French martial arts association founded in 2006 and affiliated with the French Boxing Federation and Associated Disciplines. The club offers training in several combat sports and weapon-based disciplines, combining physical practice with self-defence, coordination and personal control. Its instruction includes French boxing and Japanese boxing, drawing on influences from full contact, Japanese kickboxing and karate. Since 2017, Showacan has also expanded its teaching to Japanese boxing and laser sabre.
The association teaches combat cane, including Double Cane Showacan, a self-defence practice using two 65-centimetre bamboo canes. Its programme also features the Showacan staff, a 120-centimetre chestnut-wood weapon, and the federal staff, which measures 1.4 metres. Laser sabre training builds on similarities with traditional cane combat, emphasizing fluid, precise movements, posture, coordination, attack and defence. Across its disciplines, Showacan offers members opportunities to develop technique and self-mastery through structured practice. The association provides information about registration, equipment, documents, fees and its internal regulations for prospective participants.
