Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) is a national organization dedicated to mobilizing and organizing white people in the fight for racial and economic justice. With the aim of dismantling the systemic racism perpetuated by the Right, SURJ brings together hundreds of thousands of white individuals who are committed to creating a more just and inclusive society. By challenging the narrative that prioritizes the interests of billionaires and corporate elites over those of marginalized communities, SURJ offers an alternative vision: a future where people of all races work together to achieve our common goals.

This is accomplished through the development of people power in multi-racial communities, which includes impactful campaigns, the involvement of over 200 chapters across the country, and deep local organizing projects. At SURJ, we understand the importance of engaging white individuals in this work. By harnessing their influence and resources, we believe that we can make meaningful progress towards racial and economic equality.
