About SHQ
SHQ is an independent, non-profit organization that specializes in sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing for all individuals in Western Australia. Since its establishment in 1972, SHQ, formerly known as the Family Planning Association of WA, has become a leading provider of specialized services in sexual health and relationship wellbeing. At SHQ, we offer a wide range of services to meet the diverse needs of our community.
Our clinic provides comprehensive sexual health care, including STI testing and treatment, contraceptive services, cervical screenings, and medical abortion services. We also offer counseling services for individuals and couples, with the aim of promoting sexual and mental wellbeing. In addition to our clinical services, SHQ is committed to education and advocacy.
We provide training and professional development opportunities for healthcare professionals, as well as community education sessions and resources for young people and schools.
