Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service is one of the top-performing fire services in the UK, consistently achieving high marks in external audits. With 23 strategically located sites across Shropshire, they provide emergency response services for the entire region. Their operation includes three whole-time stations in Shrewsbury, Telford, and Wellington, as well as on-call firefighters who operate from 22 stations.

The service protects a population of 493,000 residents throughout Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin, responding to approximately 4,000 emergencies every year. In addition to their emergency response services, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service prioritizes prevention and protection activities aimed at educating and safeguarding communities and businesses to reduce the risk of fires. They work tirelessly to avoid emergencies altogether.

The service operates with 46 vehicles and specialist appliances, enabling them to effectively carry out their duties. Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service takes pride in their Good rating across all areas following the 2018 inspection by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue. They are one of only 16 services in the country to receive this rating.
