SHTRACK is a citizens’ intelligence and data-journalism tool created by the Bulgarian investigative platform BIRD.BG. It helps users explore the economic connections of politically exposed persons (PEPs), persons of interest (POIs), and other individuals and organisations through information linked from multiple public records. Its data sources include Bulgaria’s company and public procurement registers, SEBRA public spending records, EU funds data, tax debtor records, and information on former State Security agents.

Users can search for people, companies, and registry entries, view profiles and connections, and explore saved diagrams and relationship paths. Search options include beneficial ownership, direct and indirect offshore control, addresses, creditors, PEPs, and POIs—queries that may not be possible through official registers alone. Profiles can show available names, statuses, contacts, roles, and business relationships. SHTRACK also provides access to relevant company-register information and its own company scans, with an interface available in several languages. BIRD describes the system as a resource for public scrutiny; its PEP and POI labels are not allegations of wrongdoing or guilt.
