About Shunn Labs
Shunn Labs is a robotics and AI venture developing Project Punarvan, an integrated system for tree planting, reforestation, and forest-health monitoring. Its planned fleet combines an autonomous drone, a quadruped ground robot, and an agentic AI platform to work across challenging terrain, including hills, dense forest floors, and riverbanks. The project is in development, and Shunn Labs is raising a pre-seed round while seeking early partners.
The drone, Sharabh, is designed to map terrain, identify obstacles, assess vegetation, and help select planting locations using factors such as soil, slope, and sunlight. The quadruped robot, Bhairav, is intended to reach planting sites, inspect the ground, drill into soil, and plant saplings. Nandi, the AI system, is being developed to coordinate the machines, plan planting patterns, and track tree growth and health over time. Shunn Labs aims to combine terrain-adaptive robotics with data-informed planting and ongoing monitoring. The company reports that two forest departments have issued letters of intent and is inviting collaboration from forest departments, NGOs, CSR programs, and carbon-credit project developers.
