Shutter Encoder is an open-source media conversion application designed by video editors for accessible, efficient post-production workflows. Using FFmpeg, it supports a wide range of formats and professional codecs, and is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. The software handles video, audio, and images, with tools to convert and compress media, adjust image color, apply LUTs, crop footage, and trim clips, including lossless cuts with compatible codecs.
Users can embed or burn in subtitles, create and edit captions, add logos and watermarks, and overlay clip names or timecodes. Additional functions include automatic cut detection, file analysis, audio normalization, media downloading from popular streaming sites, and a render queue for processing multiple jobs.
