Shvs is a brand that focuses on driving innovation and transforming healthcare systems across states. As a program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Shvs is dedicated to helping states create affordable, equitable, and innovative healthcare systems. They achieve this by connecting states with experts in the field to provide timely and meaningful technical assistance.

Shvs assists states in four key domains: affordability, coverage, integration, and value. They provide states with best practices to develop realistic and affordable coverage options, expand coverage opportunities, promote coordination and communication among systems of care, and support payment change and population health initiatives. The technical assistance provided by Shvs is guided by the goal of ensuring that every person has equal opportunities to access healthcare and lead the healthiest lives possible.

The brand is led by a team of experts, including Program Director Heather Howard and Deputy Director Dan Meuse, who have extensive experience in health policy and administration. With their expertise and collaborative approach, Shvs is driving innovative changes in healthcare systems to benefit individuals and communities across the United States
