The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1952 to connect mathematical theory with practical applications in industry, science, and other fields. Its international community includes more than 14,000 individual members and nearly 500 institutional members from academia, business, research, government, and the military.
