Siano's Strays

Siano’s Strays, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in Brooklyn, New York, formed to carry forward the animal-rescue mission of its founder, Marie Siano. For decades, Marie devoted her time to helping cats, with a particular focus on stray and feral animals.

She ran rescue efforts and specialized in trap-neuter-return (TNR), a humane approach that helps manage community cat populations while improving individual cats’ welfare. Her home also provided a safe, comfortable place for many feline companions. After Marie’s passing, her son Mike, together with family members, friends, and volunteers, continued the work in her memory.

The organization’s mission centers on rescuing and supporting cats and advocating for their well-being, reflecting Marie’s longstanding compassion and commitment. Siano’s Strays invites supporters to help sustain this work through donations and outreach. Based in Brooklyn, the organization can be contacted by mail at P.
