Securities Investors Association (Singapore) (SIAS) is the largest organized investor group in Asia, dedicated to advocating for investor rights and promoting investor education, corporate governance, and transparency. Founded in 1999 by civic-minded citizens led by Mr. David Gerald, SIAS initially focused on resolving the CLOB issue that left 172,000 retail investors stranded when their investments on Malaysian stocks were frozen.

Today, SIAS has almost 71,000 retail investors as members and is a registered Charity and an Institution of Public Character. SIAS actively organizes over 1000 investor education programs, benefiting more than 140,000 retail investors to date. These programs, offered largely for free, cover a range of topics from basic investment seminars to certificate courses for savvy investors.

Through collaborative arrangements with financial institutions and listed companies, SIAS provides a variety of education programs and works to improve corporate governance practices. It also engages with corporations to resolve investors' rights issues and conducts dispute resolution sessions regularly. Additionally, SIAS tracks and grades listed companies for their corporate governance practices, awarding those who excel with the Singapore Corporate Governance Award.
