Siberty

Siberty, Centre for Hippotherapy, is a Slovak civic association based in Kuchyňa that has been operating since 2013. It provides specialised activities in hippotherapy, hippology and horsemanship, with the aim of improving the lives of people with disabilities and making therapeutic riding accessible to those who need it. The centre promotes an inclusive, welcoming environment where people are accepted as they are and can enjoy the freedom and connection that horses offer.

Its activities include hippotherapy and hipporehabilitation, a riding school, summer camps, nature rides and horse boarding. Siberty’s team brings together professionals including a psychologist, physiotherapist, hippotherapists, riding trainers, horse-care staff and volunteers. They care for the horses with respect and seek to create a safe, friendly, family-like place for people who find joy and energy in animals.

The horses are both therapeutic partners and riding companions. For example, pony Taruška helps the youngest children learn the basics of riding. Siberty also shares practical information about horse care through its blog and welcomes support for its work.
