Founded by Kate Sibley and Jeremy Grove, who met at Goldsmiths College in London, the studio brings a fresh perspective to the industry. With nearly a decade of experience in leading design practices, the duo became disillusioned with the unsustainable and exploitative nature of the industry, leading them to establish Sibley Grove in 2010.

At Sibley Grove, they challenge the norm by avoiding trends and instead focusing on the history, cultural setting, and context of each project. They prioritize circular design, sourcing materials that can be regenerated, reused, recycled, or returned to nature. A fundamental aspect of their creative process is "design for disassembly," which allows for materials to be separated and reused in the future, simplifies repairs, and facilitates space reuse and refurbishment. Sibley Grove is driven by the belief that good design should not only prioritize quality, cost, and aesthetics but also consider the environmental and social impact.
