SID (Society for International Development) is a renowned international network established in 1957. With its 60th anniversary celebrated in 2017, SID aims to foster democratic participation and promote socio-economic justice in the development process. With over 3,000 members worldwide, SID collaborates with local chapters, institutional members, and partner organizations in more than 50 countries.

SID's programs and activities on national, regional, and global levels facilitate collective knowledge and action towards inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development strategies. As the International Secretariat, SID utilizes offices in Rome and Nairobi. The Development Journal, published by Springer Nature, serves as SID's flagship journal with a substantial readership within the development community.
