El Gaitero is an Asturian cider brand and part of Valle, Ballina y Fernández, S.A., a family-run business based in Villaviciosa, Asturias. Its history grew from local apple cultivation, the desire to preserve Asturian traditions among people living abroad, and new opportunities for maritime trade through the Port of Gijón. The company combines regional heritage with modern production and describes its work as grounded in commitment, effort and service to its customers.
El Gaitero offers a selection of natural and sparkling ciders made with selected apples, alongside wines from its own vineyards. Its food range includes sweets, vinegars and juices. Customers can explore and purchase products through the online shop, while visitors can book an approximately one-hour tour of the cider cellar and permanent collection, including a complimentary cider tasting. The company also shares product news and advice through its blog and participates in local events. With more than 40,000 square metres of production facilities, El Gaitero presents Asturian flavour and craftsmanship to customers in Spain and beyond.
