Siegburger Funken “Blau-Weiss” von 1859 e.V. is a carnival society based in Siegburg, Germany, and the oldest carnival association in the Rhein-Sieg district. Founded in 1859, it grew out of the Kolpingsfamilie Siegburg and has helped shape carnival and its traditions in Siegburg and the surrounding area for more than 165 years. The society’s motto, “Mer blieve wie mer sin,” reflects its commitment to preserving carnival customs while bringing people together through shared celebration.
A central part of the organization is its dance corps, with more than 100 active dancers across several age groups. Its teams range from the Minis, aged four to six, through youth and senior groups to a traditional dance group, allowing multiple generations to participate.
