sifo.de

SIFO.de represents a pivotal initiative within Germany’s commitment to civil security research, aimed at enhancing safety and societal resilience. Guided by the overarching motto, "Together for a Safe Life in a Resilient Society," the program fosters research and the effective application of innovative solutions to prepare citizens for future crises.

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) spearheads this effort, organizing events that facilitate collaboration among researchers, industry professionals, and governmental organizations concerned with security. These gatherings serve as forums for networking, strategic partnerships, and sharing best practices.

SIFO.de covers essential areas such as crime and terrorism prevention, protection of critical infrastructures, and safeguarding individuals. It also emphasizes cross-sectional themes like international cooperation and practical transfer of research findings into real-world applications. By promoting projects that tackle contemporary challenges, SIFO.de aims to ensure that society is equipped to handle emergencies effectively, not only on a national level but also through broader European and international collaborations.
