Sindy Stewart

Signature Swimming is a swim school founded in 2015 by Sindy Stewart and based at Coleraine Grammar School. Serving families across the North Coast, it provides swimming lessons six days a week during school terms, with programmes for children and adults from around three and a half years old. Lessons cater to beginners through to more advanced swimmers, developing water confidence, safety, enjoyment and efficient swimming technique.

Classes follow the Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA) International Learn to Swim Programme, giving learners a structured pathway for progression. Groups are kept small, with no more than eight children, so instructors can offer individual attention. For beginners, teachers enter the water to provide hands-on support; as swimmers gain ability, coaching moves to the poolside to encourage independence while maintaining close guidance.

The school also offers aquatic industry training, including STA qualifications in swim teaching, baby and preschool teaching, teaching people with disabilities, and teacher safety. Signature Swimming emphasises an inclusive, welcoming environment and provides lessons at its modern facilities, with free on-site parking.
