Sikuriina

Sikuriina Oy is a child welfare provider based in Pori, Finland, offering community-based support to children, young people and families. Its work aims to help clients manage difficult life situations, support families in avoiding out-of-home care or returning home after care ends, and help young people continue basic education and regain control of everyday life.

Services include professional family work, which supports the whole family in coping with daily challenges, and support-person services, where a trusted adult helps with everyday matters, school, and relationships. Sikuriina also provides aftercare for young people preparing for independent living, including support with finding a home and adjusting to living alone. Families can arrange supported or supervised meetings at the company’s premises, and open family rehabilitation works with the family as a whole.

The team includes family counsellors with experience and training in areas such as child welfare, mental health, substance-use work, and care. Support may also draw on practical activities, exercise, cooking, and animal-assisted approaches. Sikuriina operates from Katariinankatu in Pori.
