Sil Lum Seattle

Seattle Sil Lum is a welcoming kung fu school that invites people of all ages, abilities, genders, and races to learn and train together. The school offers adult classes and a Kids and Teens Kung Fu program, with instruction in Northern Shaolin, also known as Sil Lum. Its approach emphasizes long-range techniques, quick advances and retreats, wide stances, kicks and leaps, circular blocks, quickness, and agility.

For children and teens, classes combine athletic training and kung fu fundamentals with self-defense awareness, strategies, and practical skills to help young people navigate their changing world with greater confidence. Adult instruction focuses on the techniques and movement principles of the Northern Shaolin style. Training can be modified for different fitness levels and abilities, helping make participation accessible to a broad community.

Seattle Sil Lum encourages newcomers to try a class and become part of its community. The school provides class schedules, information about fees and location, and a gallery for visitors exploring its programs.
