Silverback Kids Martial Arts is a children-only martial arts academy serving families at two South Calgary locations: Haysboro and Marda Loop. Founded in 2015, the academy focuses on helping children become confident, capable young leaders through structured, age-based training and a supportive community. Its curriculum includes Karate, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and other martial arts disciplines, with programs for different age groups, from Tiny Tots to teens. Students can also pursue leadership pathways, earn merit badges, and take part in school and daycare programs and community events.

Training develops physical fitness, coordination, focus, discipline, and practical self-defense skills, while emphasizing safety awareness, bully prevention, respect, empathy, resilience, and goal setting. The academy says its program directors bring more than 50 years of combined teaching experience, and that employees have vulnerable-sector checks and first aid and CPR certification. Families can explore the schedule, choose a bi-weekly membership or a one-year paid-in-full option, and begin with a one-week trial.
