SCA

Silver Crescent Academy (SCA) is a women-founded, directed, and managed, faith- and community-based educational institute serving the Halifax Regional Municipality in Nova Scotia since 2009. Guided by its motto, “Faith, Creativity, and Excellence,” the academy supports children and families through learning, care, and community programs.

SCA provides fully licensed, subsidized weekday childcare from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Its current childcare program serves children aged 18 months to 12 years; a new location at 155 Chain Lake Drive is expected to open by year-end, with places planned for children from four months to 12 years. Educational programs include Saturday Arabic activities for children aged four and older, and Sunday School for ages five and older, with academic learning alongside Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies.

Other offerings include English-language instruction, academic tutoring, professional and hands-on workshops, youth camps, community outreach events, and family consultations. SCA also invites community members to sponsor students and help expand access to its nurturing learning environment.
