Silver Desert Midwifery

Silver Desert Midwifery LLC provides compassionate, evidence-based midwifery care in Reno, Nevada, and surrounding communities, including the Reno–Truckee Meadows area, Carson City, Fernley, Fallon, Lake Tahoe, and Susanville. Led by midwife Taylor, the practice supports clients through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, with personalized, relationship-based care that values each person’s social, emotional, and cultural needs. Its approach recognizes childbirth as a normal physiological process and emphasizes informed choice, shared decision-making, and the client’s autonomy in healthcare.

Families are supported in making educated decisions, and care is provided with respect for each client’s preferences and circumstances. The practice offers support for home birth, including family-centered birth experiences, and postpartum care for birthing people and their families. Silver Desert Midwifery also provides midwifery care for other health concerns, as reflected in client accounts of receiving timely attention for women’s health problems.
