Silver Star Resources is an Australian mining and exploration company focused on developing a large silver and polymetallic district near Texas, Queensland, close to the Queensland–New South Wales border. Its project brings together the Twin Hills, Mount Gunyan and Silver Spur mines, associated mining leases and exploration permits across approximately 73,639 hectares. The district has a history of mining, existing infrastructure and a current JORC silver-equivalent resource of 26.55 million ounces.
The company’s activities include geological interpretation, resource development and exploration drilling to assess known deposits, extensions and untested targets. Alongside silver, the project has potential for antimony, copper, gold, lead and zinc. Silver Star Resources is also assessing the future reprocessing potential of approximately 2.5 million tonnes of historical tailings and stockpiles, estimated to contain 6.35 million ounces of silver equivalent. These materials may offer an additional development pathway, subject to further work. Acquired in December 2024, the project combines historical production and established site assets with opportunities for redevelopment and district-scale growth.
