Silvesterlauf

The 42nd Sparkassen Silvesterlauf, considered as the largest Silvesterlauf in Germany, is a renowned running event from Werl to Soest, with a rich history and tradition. This annual event is organized by the FVG Silvesterlauf e.V., a foundation committed to supporting charitable causes through running. The race offers categories for both adults and kids, with distances of 15 km and 5 km, and participants can look forward to a jubilant atmosphere with enthusiastic spectators along the route and at the finish line on Soest's Marktplatz.

In an effort to reduce plastic waste, the event has implemented new measures such as eliminating plastic bags for transport and introducing weatherproof, numbered sport bags for participants. Additionally, the event has garnered invaluable support from sponsors like Sparkassen, Autohaus Göttgens, and Wepa Hygieneprodukte, who share a passion for this long-standing tradition.

Join the countdown to the 2023 race and be part of this memorable running experience that combines athleticism, social engagement, and festive celebrations.
