Simone’s Signet Ring Cell Cancer Foundation is an organization dedicated to advancing research into signet ring cell cancer of the colon and helping find a cure. The foundation’s mission is driven by the story of Michael, who was diagnosed with this rare cancer in 2016 and died in 2018 after the disease returned and spread throughout his abdomen. His experience underscores the challenges faced by patients and families confronting the illness.

Each September, the foundation hosts an annual golf outing, its largest fundraiser of the year. The event brings together golfers, volunteers, hole sponsors, and other supporters to contribute their time and resources. Proceeds support cancer research, and the foundation reports donating $266,000 to University Hospitals in Cleveland to advance research into signet ring cell cancer of the colon. Through fundraising and community involvement, Simone’s Signet Ring Cell Cancer Foundation works to support progress toward better understanding and treatment of this rare disease.
