SimplexDNA AG offers eDNA-based biodiversity data and services: We are a company based in Winterthur, Switzerland and were founded in July 2021 as a spin-off from ETH Zürich. Our goal is to stop the loss of our natural world by measuring life accurately and continuously on a global scale. We can identify organisms at specific places and times without direct observation by analyzing DNA samples collected with a simple kit. Our newest service offers detection and quantification of Quagga mussels.

SimplexDNA is a brand dedicated to developing DNA-based monitoring solutions to save life on earth. Founded in July 2021 as a spin-off from ETH Zürich, we are located in Winterthur, Switzerland, at the heart of Europe. With an innovative spirit and years of experience in molecular methods and conservation research, we are making a difference for our clients, partners, and the planet.
At SimplexDNA, we have our own state-of-the-art laboratory facilities where we conduct projects of all scales while maintaining the highest quality standards. Our track record includes managing 10 projects and handling 190 samples. We believe that ecosystems are a valuable natural asset, but we lack data about their health.
